Meet the Team
Originally from Halifax, Noel graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1986 with an honours degree in Civil Engineering and then completed post graduate studies at the University of Leeds to become a qualified teacher. Noel went on to teach mathematics to A level for 10 years in local secondary schools and colleges. Noel then established Peter David Properties in 1996 and has since overseen the growth of the business to what it is today. Noel is a regular road cyclist and likes to keep fit, the rest of his time taken up by his family and five daughters. Noel believes honesty, dedication and good communication are personal qualities key to the success of the business. However, he says this could not happen without a team of people who believe in the same values.
Director of Brighouse and Huddersfield
Rick moved to the Hipperholme/ Lightcliffe area in 2003 after meeting his wife, Judith. Having always had an interest in property Rick was eager to establish his own branch of Peter David in 2011, when he opened the very successful Brighouse office working closely with Noel who he had met through mutual friends and a love of cycling. Since this time, Rick’s enthusiasm for anything property related has grown and grown! He loves meeting new people, is very honest in his approach and spends the majority of his time doing what he loves. Book an appointment to find out more…
Director of Brighouse and Huddersfield
Judith has an in-depth knowledge of the local area, having been born and brought up in Halifax and the surrounding areas. She has a successful business as a Chiropodist, and she now has an out-of-office part in Peter David Properties. She plays an integral role in all decision making and her previous business experience provides useful insights. Judith is easy to talk to, hardworking and thorough in her attitude. She enjoys spending time with family, an active and healthy lifestyle and skiing.
Lettings Area Manager
Sherrie has been with the company since 2006. At this time the company was a specialised lettings business. As the lettings business expanded, she has developed her skills and knowledge demonstrating her determination and commitment to see the business thrive. She is now the Lettings Area Manager and oversees the lettings business in Halifax, Sowerby Bridge and Hebden Bridge areas. Last year Sherrie, was blessed with the birth of her first child, and now spends much of her free time with her young family. Sherrie enjoys reading crime novels and crime documentaries. When the opportunity arises, she also likes to travel and visit new places.
Brighouse Branch Manager
Fay took a break from Peter David Properties after completing her university studies and training as a secondary school teacher. We were very pleased to welcome her back to Peter David Properties in July 2015, as our Brighouse Branch Manager. Fay covers all aspects of the business, working predominantly in sales, but also marketing and promoting the business. She has recently become a member of BNI Embrace where she meets with other local businesses each week. Her personable nature makes her very approachable and she is well-liked by colleagues and customers alike. Fay has recently got engaged and is finding her attention to fine detail valuable in her wedding planning!
Halifax Branch Manager
Helen began her career in estate agency over ten years ago when she worked for her brother in his estate agents. She joined the team in 2012 and is now our Branch Manager in Halifax. Her down to earth, no nonsense and honest approach allow her to work well with the team and our customers. She enjoys going on holiday, socialising, spending time with her family and is an avid horse rider. She is local to the area and clients often comment on her distinctive Yorkshire accent!
Hebden Bridge Branch Manager
Liz started working for Peter David in September 2012, when the Hebden Bridge branch opened. Prior to this she had worked in estate agency for 23 years, working her way up from a weekend sales negotiator, to senior sales home consultant for a corporate Estate Agency. Liz has a clear understanding of the business, and a clear belief of the basic principles of being a good estate agent. Liz is now our Branch Manager at Hebden Bridge and her role entails covering all aspects of estate agency.
Huddersfield Branch Manager
Lucy originally worked in our Brighouse branch of Peter David managing our rental properties following the completion of her degree at The University of Manchester in Historical Studies, Religious Studies and Comparative Religion. She continued to work here whilst studying for her PGCE in Primary Education and we were sad to see her leave to take up a teaching position. After 3 years teaching, Lucy decided to return to Peter David Properties and become the Branch Manager at our new Huddersfield office. Her role in the business is varied, but she predominantly does the book-keeping and processes the rental payments. She is experienced in both sales and rentals and works with both the sales team and rentals team. She is well-organised and prides herself in her ability to prioritise. In her spare time she enjoys reading, meeting up with friends and visiting new places.
Residential Sales Valuer
Sally began working at the Brighouse branch of Peter David Properties as a Property Valuer in 2013. She is honest and passionate and develops positive relationships with vendors and purchasers. She has always lived in the local area and this in-depth knowledge is invaluable when offering advice. She is a real asset to the team and is committed to delivering the highest standard of customer service. Sally has just purchased a new home for herself and her family, which I’m sure she will put her own stamp on as she has a creative mind and good eye for detail!
Residential Sales Valuer
Garry has been in the Estate Agency business for over 30 years. Garry is a local chap who was born and bred in Calderdale and knows the local sales market inside out. What you see is what you get with Garry. Honest, good sales advice without any of the waffle you will hear from other agents. Garry is backed up with a strong admin and sales team. He has a strong work ethic and can often be found working evenings and weekends as he thrives on the business. His enthusiasm for selling property is contagious as you will see when you meet him. Completely professional and honest and he will go out of his way to keep his clients happy.
Sales Administrator and PA to Garry Horsfield
Nicola joined Peter David in April 2016 and is PA to Garry Horsfield as well as being responsible for administration within the office, including production of our marvelous sales and marketing literature and a plethora of other jobs that keep a busy office moving along. She has a compulsion for Post It notes and loves a list! Away from her keyboard in her personal time, Nicola loves Steampunk and has a burgeoning collection of Victorian costumes to support. When she isn’t promenading in a bustle gown, Nicola enjoys sewing, knitting and crafting and rummaging round antique shops
Vicky started working at Peter David in January 2014 as a weekend member of staff assisting in the lettings team in our Halifax branch. She has now progressed to a full time role within the business working as our sales negotiator at our Hebden Bridge branch. She believes that her excellent local knowledge and communication skills are key factors in the customer service that she provides to our clients.
Beckie is the Sales Negotiator at our Halifax branch of Peter David Properties and has been part of the team since 2011. She has completed her NVQ Level 3 in customer service. Her customer service skills are often commented upon, alongside her hard work and enthusiasm, and this is what allows her to create fantastic relationships with both vendors and purchasers. In her spare time Beckie enjoys going to gigs and music festivals, and photography (she was previously a qualified professional photographer)!
Chloe is the most recent addition to the Peter David team and is fitting in well to her role as Property Administrator, also handling sales negotiations at Peter David Properties Brighouse. She has previously worked in a customer based environment and has built up a high standard of customer service skills. She has completed her level 2 NVQ in customer service and has now started on her level 3, this allows her to create great relationships with both vendors and purchasers. Outside of work Chloe enjoys socialising with her friends and loves to cook and experiment with different types of food. She also loves training and competing in sports as she is now a retired cheerleader and gymnast.
Although Jasmine works solely on weekends she is fast becoming a valuable member of the Peter David Team. She predominantly works within the sales team answering phone calls, arranging viewings and liaising with vendors and buyers about feedback following viewings. She is currently studying for her A Levels and enjoys a sociable lifestyle with friends and family, going to the cinema and eating out.
Lettings Property Manager
Vicky started with Peter David in 2008. Vicky coordinates the maintenance side of the lettings business for Halifax, Sowerby and Hebden. Every day she will be sorting faulty boilers, leaking pipes, gas safety checks and anything else that can go wrong in a property. In this time she has established strong links with various trades which enables her to call upon their services at a moment’s notice. Vicky is part of a strong team and has taken team building to the next level, allowing Sherrie to deliver her first daughter when she decided to arrive unexpectedly. Great team bonding! Out of work Vicky also has a young family which she spends her time with. To relax she enjoys reading and playing Bingo in the local Bingo Hall.
Lettings Property Manager
Penny joined the Peter David team in 2012, and has taken on various roles in both sales and lettings. She is currently the lettings manager in the Huddersfield office, responsible for all aspects of marketing, viewing and letting your property and the ongoing management. Having worked within customer facing roles for the past 10 years, she exceeds both vendor and customer’s expectations. Penny lives local to the area and enjoys spending time with her family.
Lettings Property Manager
Chelsea started working for the company in 2010. After completing a Flight Attendant course in Leeds she was looking for a customer facing role for experience, and she has never left. She enjoys her role which involves various administrative responsibilities including referencing and processing of tenant applications, liaising with landlords and organising the move in process amongst many other duties you will find in a busy lettings office. Chelsea enjoys travel when the opportunity arises, she is also in a long term relationship and enjoys meals out with her partner. She enjoys weekly karate lessons with her 3 sisters and takes her dog to training classes every week.
Lettings Property Manager
Lesley started with Peter David in 2016. Lesley coordinates the maintenance side of the lettings business for Brighouse and Huddersfield. This means that she liaises with landlords, tenants and contractors in order to sort out any repair issues in a timely manner. She also organises essential maintenance such as gas safety checks and she has administrative responsibilities including referencing and processing of tenant applications, liaising with landlords and organising the move in process amongst many other duties you will find in a busy lettings office. In her spare time Lesley enjoys visiting the theatre, keeping fit and reading.
Debbie works part-time as a Lettings Co-ordinator, across the Brighouse and Huddersfield offices. This is a new role for Debbie, who has previously worked in retail, but she is enjoying the new challenges of the property industry. Debbie is cheerful and good-humoured, often bringing a little sparkle to the office! She has a love of fashion and in her spare time enjoys visiting new places and enjoying good food.
Trainee Lettings Administrator
I am currently studying at Huddersfield New College where I am completing my A-levels. In September I will be attending Leeds Beckett University where I received an unconditional offer to study MSci in Biomedical Science. I enjoy studying and learning new skills. In my free time I like to go out on day trips with my friends and family. I enjoy my weekend position in the Lettings department at Peter David Properties. It is providing me with invaluable experience dealing with customers face to face and on the phone, improving my communication skills and learning new people skills.
Assistant Viewer and Property Inspector
Helene has been with the company since 2011. Previously working in education, Helene has skills in dealing with people from various backgrounds facing various challenges. This is well suited for her role in the company where she shows prospective tenants around properties to let, and for sale, and also carries out property inspections during the course of the working week to identify potential issues. She is now a proud grandmother, albeit a young one, and enjoys spending time with all her family who benefit from her superb cuisine skills. The staff also benefit from this as she often brings samples for us to try, a favourite being her famous cheese and onion pie.
Chris originally joined Peter David as an in-house mortgage advisor in 2014. He has been in financial services for 13yrs and a mortgage advisor for the last 8yrs. He has previously worked at a national estate agent, the Halifax and Santander. Chris has a vast knowledge of the mortgage market which allows him to find the best mortgage for his clients. Outside of work he has twins boys that keep him on his toes and also enjoys rugby and keeping fit.
Luke joined the team over a year ago helping his brother Chris with his administration gaining important experience. He qualified as a mortgage advisor in September 2016. Before this role Luke was an independent Domestic Energy Assessor working mainly in Manchester and Lancashire but he also covered ours in West Yorkshire. Outside of work he has always played a variety of sports including rugby and football.
Following my Cert CII (MP) Qualification in 2012 I have worked within National Estate Agents as a Senior Mortgage Consultant, covering areas within West Yorkshire. Prior to this I have worked in a variety of roles within Estate Agency. Outside of work I like to lead a healthy lifestyle, attend the gym regularly and spend time with friends and family.
Naomi joined Peter David in April 2015. She is one of our in house independent mortgage advisors. Naomi has had various roles within the financial services sector. She started her career with Skipton Building Society as a Mortgage Underwriter, then went on to join Santander where she had a very successful career as a Mortgage Adviser. After returning to work from her maternity leave she wanted a new challenge and joined Peter David. As an independent mortgage adviser you know that you will be obtaining the most competitive mortgage and Naomi does all the processing and chasing of your mortgage. As she has worked in the financial services sector for over 12 years she brings a lot of experience to Peter David. In her spare time Naomi enjoys spending time horse riding and socialising with her family and friends.
